Day 1 Your driver-guide will take you to Michelangelo square, a hill above the city, where you can get the best view of Florence. It's an ideal starting point to discover the city. After that will go to the Academy, where's the original David, then on to the Baptistry and the Cathedral. Optional lunch in a typical Trattoria. In the afternoon will see Piazza Signoria, Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi museum. Overnight in Florence. Day 2 Today will leave Florence to go north over the Apennines
mountains to visit the city of Modena, a charming city, the -town of
Pavarotti, where will visit a Balsamic factory and taste the original balsamic vinegar! In the afternoon will drive back to Bologna to discover the unusual but attractive Italy. Bologna, beside the history and art, it's a paradise of Italian food: tortellini, ravioli, cheese, mortadella and much more... Also free time. Overnight in Bologna.
Day 3 After breakfast we leave to Ravenna, on the Adriatic coast, once the capital of the Roman Empire, where we still can see traces of that
magnificent past... You'll be surprised by the treasures of this city, especially by its mosaics, which are the best preserved mosaics in Italy! Lunch in a Ravenna. In the afternoon we are back in the van and we'll drive on the old Romea road, the old Roman road along the Adriatic. We'll make a stop at the famous Abbey of Pomposa and then we'll go on to Venice… |
