Day 1 Arrival at Florence airport/train station. Transfer to the hotel and check in.Half day tour Florence: We'll go to Michelangelo square for an wonderful view of the city, then to Santa Croce church and San Lorenzo market. Overnight in Florence.
Day 2 Full day in Florence - Visit of the Academy to see the David, the Cathedral Piazza Signoria, Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi. Overnight in Florence.
Day 3 Chianti wine tour (1 wine tasting and visit of a terracotta factory). Pick up at your hotel. We'll drive south of Florence through the
Chianti area, the gorgeous countryside of Tuscany. You'll enjoy the scenic drive, surrounded by rolling hills, vineyards, olive groves. Chianti became the world's first officially defined wine-producing
area in 1716!!! Then we will drive to Bologna and spend the night in
the city.
Day 4 In only a 40-minute drive we will be in Modena, a charming city, home-town of Pavarotti, where you can also visit a Balsamic factory and taste the original balsamic vinegar! In the afternoon we will go back to
Bologna to discover this paradise of Italian food: tortellini, ravioli, cheese, mortadella and much more... Free time. Overnight in Bologna.
Day 5 After breakfast we leave to Ravenna, on the adriatic coast, once capital of the Roman Empire, where we still can see traces of that
magnificent past... You'll be surpriseD by the treasures of this city, especially by its mosaics which are the best preserved mosaics in Italy!
Overnight in Ravenna.
Day 6 We'll leave Ravenna on the old Romea road along the coast, the old Roman road to get to Venice... We'll make a stop at the famous
Abbey of Pomposa and then we'll go on to Venice. After check in at
your hotel, we'll start the visit of the city: San Marco Square, The Bridge of Sights, Rialto Bridge... Overnight in Venice.
Day 7 Full day Venice and the Islands. We'll take a water taxi and visit the lovely Burano island with its picturesque houses painted in many different colours, then on to Murano for a demonstration of the
glass blowing production!!
You'll spend the rest of the day in Venice, between little alleys,
small canals, trying "to get lost" in this unreal, fantastic city… |
