We will make our first stop in Arezzo this medieval city, since the 11th century became a free comune, yelded to Florentine domination in 1384. Arezzo was the birthplace of Vasari the painter and architect who relaized the Loggia of Palazzo degli Uffizi in Florence, the poet Petrarch and Guido of Arezzo inventor of modern musical notation. Arezzo is often chosen as movie location and here was shot "Life is Beautiful". Not to miss a visit of San Francis church with frescos by Piero della Francesca, one of the greatest painters of the Renaissance. Then on to the countryside to visit the hill-towns of San Sepolcro with its Medicean fortress and a one of the most beautiful villages in Tuscany and once a strategic stronghold being the furthest border of the Florentine domination in Tuscany. Finally a stop in Anghiari location af the famous battle which decided the destiny of Tuscany, Anghiari is rated one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.
