Private Full Day  Abbey of San Galgano-Massa Marittima-every day

From 9:00am to 6:00pm

On this "real Tuscan" day, you will not regret spending a day off the beaten tracks to see the ruins of the antique Abbey of San Galgano. After a stop in Massa Marittima go even further back in time to the Etruscan city of Vetulonia.

Highlights:

- Take a picture inside San Galgano main navy, no flash needed!

- Try to pull out San Galgano's "sword in the rock"

- Massa Marittima and its romanesque Dome

- Visit Vetulonia a former Etruscan city

Discover the real Tuscany starting from the legend. At the 10th century Abbey of San Galgano you can see the "sword in the rock" by Charles the Great. The roofless Abbey of San Galgano offers a surprising scenery in the middle of beautiful countryside. We will then travel on through the woods and the hills until Massa Marittima, a hill town that appears from nothing, where there's an impressive Romanesque Dome. From here, in a sunny day, you can enjoy the view of the Mediterranean Sea...

After a typical Tuscan lunch we'll go to visit Vetulonia, one of the capitals of the Etruscan civilization.
